Amendment 4—a statewide “Vote on Everything” initiative—is a grave threat to Florida’s future.
 
 

The so-called “Hometown Democracy” amendment – now known as Amendment 4 - will imperil Florida’s unique quality-of-life and threaten Florida’s prospects for economic recovery. With the “Vote on Everything” amendment, citizens—not the representatives they elected—would be forced to regularly decide hundreds of technical land-use planning issues at the ballot box. We know that Amendment 4 - a statewide "Vote on Everything" initiative - will lead to higher taxes, fewer jobs and endless litigation at taxpayer expense.
 
 
     
Citizens for Lower Taxes and a Stronger Economy was founded to alert voters to this extreme amendment and the hazards it will bring to every Floridian's daily life. Every small business, working family, teacher, health care provider, community leader, elected official, and mainstream environmentalist - every Florida voter - needs to know that our unique quality-of-life is at stake.
