Florida must cautiously evaluate the effects of the recently enacted SB 360 before determining the next steps on growth management reform. In the meantime, the Florida Chamber is committed to the defeat of Amendment 4, the job-killing "Hometown Democracy" Amendment.

During the 2009 Legislative Session, Florida’s business leaders proposed an ambitious reform of Florida’s growth management laws. Florida’s business community recognized that growth over the past several decades has sometimes occurred in a sprawling pattern around existing urban areas. This pattern is straining the state’s transportation, infrastructure and water systems. (more)
